MAGGIE DIXON LEGACY CONTINUES
The United States Corps of CadetsSpirit Band, Rabble Rousers, Cadet Color Guard and the Black Knight Women's Basketball team traveled to Madison Square Garden to participate in the second annual Maggie Dixon Classic Dec. 8. Dixon, a rookie head coach, who led the Black Knight women’s basketball team to the 2006 Patriot League Championship and a birth in the NCAA tournament, Dixon later died of a heart arrhythmia. Army, who wasn't expected to compete with Rutgers, stayed with the third ranked Scarlet Knights until the Knights went on a 13-2 scoring drive to end the half.
